Hi!

I’m Jessica. I have been an illustrator for about 2 decades and that isn’t alarming to me at all.

I am based in Portland, Oregon, and I draw mostly funny things. I have illustrated award-winning children’s books, wallpaper designs, and have written and illustrated a graphic novel and other comics as well. In addition to creating my own print collections, I also paint ridiculous things.

Other than mythical creatures and the paranormal in general, the enchanting, natural environment of the Pacific Northwest is a huge source of inspiration for my work. So naturally, I am obsessed with foraging mushrooms…which leads to my other obsession: really good food (especially all things noodley). People provide a wealth of material as well, and help me build the characters I draw and write about.

Some of my work is a hybrid style that uses watercolor texture and digital coloring. My comics and other illustrations are painted 100% digitally using Procreate.
